. Unfortunately my Ethiopian Airlines flight from DC was too late and we missed the connection to their Gaborone flight. But they were very efficient inrebooking me for the next day and getting me sorted out with a hotel in this beautiful city (and meals). It gave me a chance to have the Ethiopian food that was not served on the flight (yum!) and to really tour this city that I have visited a few times, but have never really looked around. Photos below include the National Museum (with the skeleton of Lucy), the Piazza, the African Union headquarters complex, and more. My bike and duffel remained at the airport, so I couldn’t try out the very tempting bike lanes!
